Noxious Desire

There has been a rash of men who have awakened to find a part of them missing - and that is not meant metaphorically. Some are only missing fingers, toes, or eyes, and others missing entire appendages. I spoke to one of the men, one who had his manhood stripped from him, and the only thing he could say to me was, “But, I love her”.

What is insane is this sentiment is shared by every single man who’s had the misfortune of meeting this monster. They all parrot each other, saying the same thing: “But, I love her”. Needless to say, they’ve been far from cooperative, and I find myself no closer to finding the culprit now than when this whole thing started.

Given my position as lead investigator on this case I shouldn’t even be saying any of this to you, but… I think I love you.
